You came to this page because you are looking for a webcomic contest to win. Maybe you’re thinking, “I could use the 500 Bucks and a case of Beer but what the hell do I gotta do WIN IT ALL?” Below you will find your contest details. READ THEM CAREFULLY and Good Luck!

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES


1. Create a one page comic/webcomic based on a character that has the following distinctions:


a: It is part animal.
b: It is part human (male or female).
c: It has a job.
d: It has a vice (optional)


You may use any medium (pencil, ink, paint, photoshop, collage…) or tools to create the comic page. It can be 1 panel or it can be many panels, it is up to you. The comic page must be submitted as a digital image file in Jpeg format with 72dpi resolution. It can be any size as long as it does not exceed 580 pixels in width and 1000 pixels in height. You are allowed to submit up to 3 entries.


2. Submit your comic page by email to gatorcontest@septagonstudios.com along with the following Subject line and following information in your message:

Subject line: Gator Contest
Message:
-Your Name?
-Age?
-Where you are from?
-A few sentences describing your comic and character.
-Your background in comics. Do you already have your own comic/webcomic? If so, let us know about it.

DEADLINE
Accepting submissions starting February 13, 2011. The deadline is June 30, 2011 11:59pm EST. The earlier you get’er done the better it is for you.

SELECTION
All contest entries will be judged by Septagon Studios staff in the month of May. On August 1st we will post the top 10 webcomic contest submissions and voting will be open to the public to help us select the BEST OF THE BEST. The webcomic with the most votes at the end of August WINS IT ALL! The Winner will be announced on September 1st 2011.

PRIZES AND PERKS:
-$500.02 US
-A case of beer which we will deliver to you OR an extra $50.00 for you to buy your own case of beer, you choose.
-Webcomic Fame and Traffic – The top 10 entries will be heavily promoted across all Septagon Studios websites and Social Networks.

Fine print: We can only deliver the case of beer if the winner resides in Toronto, Canada and they are of legal drinking age. If you live outside of Toronto, Canada we cannot deliver you the case of beer but we will give you the extra $50.00 so you can buy your own case of beer or juice or milk or whatever you like.

ABOUT THE SUBMITTED WORKS
Copyright, ownership and the right to distribute the prize-winning works will belong to the creators. However, Septagon Studios will have the right to display the submitted works on the Septagon Studios websites and Social Networks. Septagon Studios will not be held liable for works that use copyrighted material.
